The second edition of Jean Monnet Summer School was held July 10-12, 2018.

Twenty young people from all over Europe came to Paris to participate in the Association’s summer workshop and to the citizens’ consultations at Maison Jean Monnet to work together on and for the future of Europe.

FIRST DAY

Visit of the European Parliament Liaison Office in Paris for two conferences on the EU legal system and the role of the European Parliament.

After the visit, the students participated in interactive workshops on the following topics:

  • Agriculture & Environment
  • Enlargement
  • Security & Defense
  • Employment & Social Affairs

SECOND DAY

Discover the life, the thought and the work of Jean Monnet, on the site of the Maison-Musée Jean Monnet, in Bazoches, and take part in a debate around the great challenges of the European Union !

THIRD DAY

Training of students in public speaking and moderation of debates by the European Youth Parliament at the Maison de l’Europe in Paris.

On the same evening, our participants were able, along with the Association, to animate a public consultation held in Meudon with the theme: “Facing global challenges: a national right or an European duty”.
